A Lady Behind the Mask

身边总有这么一位朋友，她总是带着口罩，露出一双迷人的双眼，弄得你不知所云，永远都不知道那双眼睛在说什么。可是，当她看着你的时候，她的双眼却是在闪闪发光。真希望能揭开她的面纱，欣赏整个儿她，不过还是带点神秘感吧，你说呢？
There’s always someone, a friend maybe who wear a mask around you, showing that attractive eyes, which could make you get lost somehow. You never know what these eyes are telling you. However, when she looks at you, you find that her eyes are always glimmering. I do really hope I could unveil her mask to appreciate the whole of her, but let’s just keep the mystery, shall we?

神秘的面纱让我不禁想起之前看的一部电影《我心深处》，暮色浓深的夜晚，男主和女主在篝火旁你问我答。男主提问：你最喜欢什么？你又最讨厌什么？女主回答完后，轮到男主，他的回答真是情商高哇。
The lady behind the mask triggered the memory of the film Dil Se I watched a long time ago. As the daylight died, the leading role of man and of a woman who was sitting at the campfire, asking each of the different questions. One question that the man asked was what did you like the most and what did you dislike the most? Having been replied by the woman, it turned to the man. And his answer was really top-notch.

于是乎，我将其翻译下来，很是煽情，他回复道：“我先说，我最讨厌什么吧。我最讨厌，你我之间的距离，怎么也无法把你看透。最最讨厌的是——你那双眼眸，凝视了许久，却一无所获。
So, I translated the lines that turned out was pretty touching. He said:’First I’ll tell you what I dislike the most. I dislike this distance between us. There’s a lot hidden within you. What I hate the most are your eyes because when I look into them I cannot see anything.

现在，我告诉你，我最喜欢什么。我最喜欢，你的那双眼睛，凝望许久，却一无所获。看不透你，则深深把我着迷。最最喜欢的是——你我之间的距离，因为这，给予了我亲近你的理由。”
Now I’ll tell you what I like the most. What I like the most are your eyes because when I look into them I cannot see anything. There’s a lot hidden within you, and I like that. What I like the most is this distance because it gives me an excuse to come near you.’

That skill is pretty much a killer. Once been drawn, it cannot be undone. I drew from the eyes as a starter, then finished without any of redrawing.
